The Continuous Improvement Project Manager will be responsible for finding and implementing process improvements and best practices across each Home Chef site. 

Detailed Responsibilities

Lead National CI team project design and implementation

  • Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities, design project plans, and implement solutions at Home Chef production facilities
  • Collaborate with the National training team to build out implementation training plans, materials, and update SOPs and spend time training site teams to ensure the final owners fully adopt the new processes and technologies and all future owners are trained with the new responsibilities.
  • Act as liaison for troubleshooting and resolution of startup issues

Identify operational efficiency opportunities and work with sites to implement and sustain best practices

  • Guided by KPI’s, travel to sites and work with leadership teams to find resolution to special-cause and common-cause process deviations
  • Foster relationships and develop sites continuous improvement skillset, problem solving methodology, and data driven decision making thorough routine visits, training, and system development
  • Champion the Home Chef Operating System by promoting its value as a framework to guide operational excellence and support site teams in executing their priorities

Data collection and analysis:

  • Utilize Home Chef KPI’s for project selection and root cause analysis
  • Collect before and after data on trials of new methods or configurations 
  • Create tools as needed to help track and sustain changes

This position requires up to 75% travel. 

Qualifications

  • Completion of a four-year degree program
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing/operational environments or working directly with those in a manufacturing/operational environment, preferably from the food and beverage industry
  • Minimum of 1 year of successful project management experience in a fast-paced environment and a track record of leading by example
  • Interpersonal skills to work with team members across functions and in both production and corporate environments
  • Analytical proficiency to meet variable needs of the business
  • Ability to think “outside-the-box” 
  • Ability to react on the fly to unforeseen production and planning scenarios as they arise
  • Computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, PowerPoint, Google Sheets)
  • Strong ability to track details and to keep track of projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Results-oriented attitude; able to multi-task and get things done 
  • Willingness to embrace change and adjust quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75%

Home Chef offers the base salary range as posted below, with the exact offer depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, and internal equity. While compensation is within the provided range, it is not typical for offers to be made at the upper end. In addition to base salary, Home Chef provides a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare coverage, 401k match, and paid time off.
