ASML’s Business Line MPS (Mature Products and Services) is responsible for the PAS platform of 200mm lithography systems, which has an annual revenue over 200 Million Euro and more than 1,800 installed systems. The 200mm semiconductor market is mainly driven by the smartphone, automotive and industrial market segments, and shows a healthy growth for at least the coming 5 years. BL MPS has a roadmap to extend the lifetime of the PAS 5500 platform until at least 2035, and this roadmap is driving and energizing the BL. BL MPS defines and drives the execution of a fundamental change in the way of doing business in a mature market with strong competition, and acts as a pilot environment for other ASML business which will soon face similar challenges. Innovations are required in applied business models, customer interactions and way of working. These are complex topics with clear customer and revenue / margin impact.
The group is additionally responsible for the sale of all refurbished mature TWINSCANs, often into niche markets.
Your assignmentIn a dynamic team, the intern will be assigned variety of different tasks, including:
- Install base (IB) data update in SAP
- Identify problem records: Do a carpet review with local team
- Determine the latest/best info: Cross reference with IB history and Intelligence from Sourcing and other stakeholders.
- Within the scope: MPS & DUV machines
- Conducting desktop research on specialty market insights: report out on literature studies of new processes that can be implemented.
- Marketing: Literature study on market for Photonics: what are applications for the different devices we see coming, what are potential markets and what is potential market for ASML – Industrial Engineering
Assist in refurbishment machine cost breakdown/transparency and identifying cost reduction plan.
This is a bachelor's/master's internship for 12 months, minimum 24-40 hours per week. (3 days onsite). Starting in September 2025.
Your profileTo be a good fit for this internship, you have:
- Student in information technology, physics, mathematics, statistics or any relevant technical background.
- Excellent data mining skills
- Good command in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Affinity/basic knowledge in semiconductor industry
- Excellent communication skills
Other requirements you need to meet:
- You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
- You are located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate;
- If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
